Oliver Heights is a multi-benched property with sweeping views of the valley and surrounded by orchards and crown land. The 21-acre property is within Oliver’s town limits, located just off Fairview Drive, the main access road to one of the award winning Top 100 golf courses in Canada.
Oliver Heights is just a 10-minute walk to Main Street, the heart of Oliver’s shopping district. The hospital and community centre are only a five-minute drive away, and the local wineries and golf courses are a five to 15 minute drive from the community.
Oliver is located in BC’s southern Okanagan and is known as the “wine capital of Canada” for its hot, dry summers and mild winters. It has a safe, small town feel and is close to nature, offering great hiking and biking, swimming and boating, access to local fruit and produce, a mix of dining, and, of course you’re in the middle of wine country with all that it has to offer. And because of its central location, it’s the perfect hub for exploring the rest of the Okanagan and BC, Alberta and the Northern US.
With a permanent population of just under 5,000 people and an additional 4,000 people living in the surrounding rural area, employment in the region centers around agriculture, viticulture, tourism, manufacturing, health care and the service industry.
Oliver is just a 30-minute drive from the Penticton airport, or 90 minutes from Kelowna’s International Airport. With wineries, nearby Mount Baldy and Apex Mountain ski resorts under new ownership, and the new Area 27 race track, it’s a town on the cusp of growth and opportunity.
Oliver is home to two championship golf courses (Fairview Mountain Golf Club and Nk’Mip Canyon Desert Golf Course), great hiking and biking trails, and offers boating, skiing, agritourism, fishing and bird watching as well. With Osoyoos, Gallagher and Skaha Lakes all nearby, if you enjoy being outdoors and exploring nature, you’ll love Oliver. Oliver Parks and Recreation has year-round programming for all ages.
